    RICS Level 2
    RICS Home Survey Level 2 (formerly known as Homebuyers Survey)

    The ideal solution for most buyers, when buying a property in reasonable condition. Our RICS Level 2 survey gives you a clear picture before you proceed with a purchase. Surveyors will inspect reasonably accessible areas of the building and the report will include an overview of the property’s general condition and identify any issues or defects that may affect the value now or in the future, including any probably or possible legal implications and recommendations for further investigation.

     

    RICS Level 2 Home Surveys can be delivered with a valuation, which is a surveyor’s professional opinion on the ‘market value’ of the property. This can include an insurance reinstatement figure for the property. A valuation as part of the Home Survey will not be accepted by mortgage lenders.

    RICS Level 3
    RICS Home Survey Level 3 (formerly known as Building Survey)

    Buying an older, larger or unusual property? A Level 3 survey is most suitable. Our most thorough assessment goes beyond the expected 2026 RICS standard, giving you complete peace of mind before you buy, with surveyors investigating in detail the condition of all reasonably accessible parts of the building.

     

    The report will cover boundaries, grounds and outbuildings and explain the consequences of any defects. Reports can be tailored to suit your individual situation, for example, taking into consideration any major conversion or renovation work you may be planning.
